MANAMA, BAHRAIN – 3 November 2026 – Ithmaar Development Company (IDC), a specialised company in the development and management of major real estate and other infrastructure projects, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ithmaar Group, in collaboration with Ithmaar Bank, a Bahrain-based Islamic retail bank, organised a Tree-Planting Initiative at Dilmunia Island, bringing together 13 companies to support a greener and more sustainable Bahrain.
The initiative aims to support the National Action Plan to achieve carbon neutrality as announced by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in line with the National Tree Week initiated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
“We are pleased to bring together companies from across Bahrain to support this meaningful environmental initiative as we successfully planted 45 trees in a day,” said IDC Managing Director, Nayef Nasser Alnasser. “We extend our deepest appreciation to all participants for their invaluable support, as by working together to expand green spaces, we can effectively contribute to enhancing and protecting the ecosystem and support the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve carbon neutrality”.
